Alex Meixner is recognized as one of the most dynamic accordionists on the scene today. His enthusiastic performances as a soloist and with The Alex Meixner Band have been enjoyed by audiences throughout the USA, as well as on tour in Canada and The Netherlands.

As a recording artist, he has recent collaborations with artists as diverse as renowned avant garde accordionist/ composer- Guy Klucevsek, popular Irish entertainer Seamus Kennedy, Texas indie rockers- The Krayolas and his 2007 Grammy nominated recording- “Polka FreakOut” with Bubba Hernandez. His latest solo album, “Stay All Night” features the KIOTAC anthem- “Kimberley!” written by Odie Odenbrett.

The live show of the Alex Meixner Band mixes all of these musical styles in a fashion that allows traditional music fans to enjoy and embrace the evolutions of their music, as well as letting the hipsters groove out to the old school music! Whether playing for concert or dance audiences, Alex and his band work hard to entertain with a fun program for audiences of all ages.

This year, Alex will be featuring some new faces in his band. We welcome, Michael Morris from Temple, TX on drums and vocals along with Michael Kramar from Cameron Park, CA on Piano Accordion, Button Accordion, Trumpet, Baritone Horn, Bass Guitar, Banjo, Vocals and Tambourine.  Coming back for his 3rd year will be Matt Tolentino from Dallas, TX on Piano Accordion, Saxes, Clarinet, Tuba, Banjo, Guitar, Ukulele, Vocals and Megaphone. Of course, Alex will be playing his Piano Accordion, Button Accordion, Trumpet and Singing—along with a few other surprises.
