Native of Indiana, Sylvia started playing piano at 3, started piano lessons at 4, accordion lessons at 5, and her first public performance at 6. By age 9, she was entertaining professionally, performing in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio. Locally her musical career included live radio in Kendallville and Ft. Wayne, Indiana, her own TV show in Waterloo Indiana, and recording and performing music and magic shows with a popular local organist , DJ, and radio performer. Sylvia also made appearances on Don McNeil's Breakfast Club, toured for a year and a half (two tours) with the Horace Heidt Show, Grand Old Oprey and WLS Barn Dance shows at Buck Lake Ranch, Angola, Indiana, appeared on national TV with The Lawrence Welk Show and performed with the show for a summer. Sylvia has been a popular night club entertainer in both the Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area for over 30 years, .She also had two successful accordion studios in the Los Angeles area and the San Francisco Bay Area.. Her public performances have included numerous night clubs, restaurants, concerts, accordion clubs, and private parties.

She is currently performing and teaching in Redding, California where she lives, and playing concerts and giving workshops for accordion clubs.
